Baufritz has been manufacturing timber homes in Bavaria since 1896, and the Duo is a genuinely unusual model in the range. It is designed for two separate households to occupy two independent living units within a single structure, each with its own utilities, heating, climate control, and outdoor areas. The low-pitched roof and contemporary aesthetic make the dual-unit arrangement read naturally from the exterior.
Baufritz's ecological timber frame construction and premium quality materials are standard throughout, and the independent energy management for each unit reflects a practical understanding of how dual-occupancy homes actually function. At just under 75 m² across three bedrooms, the total floor area is modest, but the two-unit configuration shapes how that space is used.
