Kieffer
About This Home
Baufritz has been building ecological timber homes since 1896, and the Kieffer is one of their larger residential designs at just over 367 m² across two storeys. The scale gives the floor plan room to breathe, with generous glazing creating a strong indoor-outdoor relationship throughout. Clean contemporary lines and a modern facade give it a different feel to some of the more traditionally influenced models in the Baufritz range.
Construction follows Baufritz's standard ecological timber frame approach, including their proprietary wood shaving insulation, energy-efficient heating, and smart climate management. The emphasis on chemical-free, allergy-friendly materials runs through every Baufritz build. At this size, the home also accommodates a level of internal flexibility that smaller models cannot.
The Kieffer is suited to buyers who want a large family home built to genuine ecological standards rather than a loosely defined green spec. Interior layouts are fully customisable. German building standards apply as standard, with UK compliance handled on a project by project basis.
What We Love
The Kieffer delivers Baufritz's full ecological construction system, including their proprietary wood shaving insulation, across a genuinely spacious floor plan that most prefab manufacturers don't offer at this scale.
