Baufritz has been building timber homes in Bavaria since 1896, and the Retro is one of the more unusual models in the range. At just under 172 m² across two levels, it is also one of the most spacious. The design draws on nostalgic architectural references, with a classic pitched roof and a period-appropriate facade, but the construction underneath is fully modern and ecological.
Baufritz's signature wood shaving insulation and modern heating and climate control systems deliver genuine energy performance. The traditional room layouts have been retained, which means comfortable, recognisable spaces rather than open-plan arrangements. Customisation on design details and finishes allows buyers to personalise the period character of the home.
