Romijn
About This Home
Baufritz has been building ecological timber homes since 1896, and the Romijn is a two-storey contemporary design that uses mixed materials and interesting geometry to create a more distinctive exterior than many of the range's traditional models. At just over 100 m², the floor plan works across four bedrooms, with large format windows bringing natural light through the layout. The multi-level arrangement adds spatial variety within a compact footprint.
Construction uses Baufritz's ecological timber frame with their proprietary wood shaving insulation, which has been refined in-house over decades and is widely regarded as one of the better natural insulation systems available. Energy-efficient heating, modern home automation, and contemporary terrace spaces are all part of the specification.
The Romijn is a good option for buyers who want Baufritz's ecological construction standards in a model with a more contemporary, geometric exterior language. Interior layouts are customisable. German engineering standards apply, with UK compliance confirmed on a project by project basis.
What We Love
The Romijn packs four bedrooms into just over 100 m² with a genuinely contemporary geometric exterior: it's one of the more visually interesting compact models in the Baufritz range.
