Baufritz has been building ecological timber homes since 1896, and the Weald House is one of their few models designed specifically for the UK market. The traditional pitched roof, country house proportions, and open-plan interior are calibrated for the British countryside rather than the German or Alpine context that most Baufritz models reference. At just over 276 m°, it is one of the more spacious models in the range with three bedrooms and three bathrooms across a generous floor plan.

The ecological timber frame uses Baufritz's standard suite of energy-efficient systems with large energy-efficient windows promoting natural light throughout. The build meets UK building regulations rather than just German standards, which removes a layer of project-specific compliance work that buyers of other Baufritz models need to manage. Smart technology is integrated within the specification.
